HONEY BEE HEALTH
Determine if your bees are healthy!
When confronted with an unfavorable environment, biological organisms (animals, plants and humans of course) undergo imperceptible alterations at the molecular, cellular and physiological levels. If the exposure is prolonged, these changes can eventually have a greater or lesser impact on their health.
These changes are biological markers, or "biomarkers," that can be measured by analysis.
The values obtained at your site are compared to a range of values, called "benchmark values" to determine if the bees at your site are in a state of health that is considered normal. To be considered normal, the oxidative stress level of your bees must be within the range of the benchmark values. The benchmark values are established following the methodology established by the AFNOR X43-910 standard.
